the art and power of THE narrative: communicating through storytelling (G059)

Workshops > Complete List > Storytelling

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?

Getting messages across to and engaging audiences is an increasing challenge in an age of information overload, complex issues and rapid change. The story narrative is a time-proven, powerful communications method of cutting through the noise, focusing on key information and providing understanding by explaining context. Stories infuse information with meaning for your audience external or internal, whatever its level and function and provide an entry point for engaging people in your message.

Stories, narrative, are a part of every communicator's tool kit as well as an asset for managers, human resource and other specialists transmitting corporate intentions and/or explaining policies, programs and their application. A well constructed and delivered story based on a clear understanding of the results you want to achieve and the audience you have to reach can move people to understanding and support better than long texts, overwhelming presentations and endless meetings.

Stories move us, exerting amazing motivational and emotional energy. Those who tell stories well have great impact.
